Perennial in a Haunted House
Perennial is a hardcore band with an art school vibe. The songs off their latest LP In the Midnight Hour come fast and hard. Quiet lulls in the songs are merely preparatory moments in advance of the next opportunity the trio, quartet, quintet has to shout at you. Though off-beat experiments like the chill, lo-fi ambient pulser “Hey Eurydice” gives the band a little more range.
