Dylan Golden Aycock: “No Spring Chicken”

One of those “primitive” guitarists? You know, the kind who don’t play like they’re supposed to, but it works anyway. Maybe it works because of it. Dylan Golden Aycock is one of those types.

Our highlighted track “No Spring Chicken” hums and purrs and falls on its knees and offers a prayer unto God. Where does the melody begin and the rhythm end? Off No New Summers.

Via Worried Songs, which is a new label based in Wallasey, UK (outside of Liverpool) that’s dedicated to “exploring the American underground.” Hell of an inconvenient location to be exploring the American underground from, but I guess the internet makes everything possible.
