Jen Kearney: “Spinning”

Shades of Seal’s “Kissed By a Rose” on the intro. You know, lush, grand, magnificent world building. Intentional? Probably not. But our highlighted track “Spinning” shows the musical range of Jen Kearney. Jazz, pop, soul, then she sticks you with the little rock n roll attitude on vocal flourishes here and there. A sweet little electric guitar solo about halfway through keeps the ball bouncing somewhere between the genres, adding some bluesy spirit for good measure before the song whips up into a carefully orchestrated crescendo and a quiet kiss goodnight.
