Supermarket Parking Lot: “Falling From A String”
Straightforward post punk meandering from Supermarket Parking Lot, delivered with cabaret undertones. Frontman Marco Tewlow has something of the vaudeville showman in him. Big riffs, big refrains, big bridges, big finish. Shades of Queen, Pink Floyd, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. You can practically see the stage effects exploding around him during the big energy moments of our highlighted track “Falling From A String.” The single is released in four different versions; each of which testify to Tewlow’s elastic musical sensibility and sculptor’s love for shaping raw materials into veritable zoological riot of sound concepts. Points deducted for the corny “radio announcer” sample intro.
