Dino Gala is an anagram of ‘diagonal.’ OK, I get it now. Diagonal is the superlative and succinct EP from the Boston-based four-piece. The band explores the shadowlands of emo’s pop punk present. They can go soft and tender (“owlz”), but on our highlighted track “shark” it’s fast, loud, and hard. The song hits full gallop with the heart of a ballad and the soul of garage.
