Cigarettes After Sex: “Tejano Blue”

Dreamy, without being dream pop. Echo/reverb up the wazoo in our highlighted track “Tejano Blue” by Cigarettes After Sex. A song about fucking, or being fucking-adjacent.

Sometimes too much echo or reverb can muck and muddy up a composition. But the production here is crystal clear. The vocals ride clouds while the spare notes of a guitar, light percussion, and steady hum of a synth drive beneath. Good music for a setting sun, but don’t blasterbate your music in public spaces or, worse yet, places of natural beauty.
