Hard-charging, synth-driven darkwavers The Serfs light up the dance floor on our highlighted track “The Willows.”

What are the willows? Hard to decipher what the singer is singing about through the reverb and walls of electronics, but it’s got something to do with desire.

The sound is a little garage rock, a little New Wave, with more than a little love for New Order. Synth motifs lead the way, staccato percussion and chimp-on-thorazine vocals follow.
