Family Name
Beat Radio returns to the airwaves with Real Love, the first release from the Brian Sendrowitz-led band since 2016. What’s he been doing during the interval? As Dazed and Confused’s Wooderson might say: L-I-V-I-N. Or better yet, going Jack Kerouac on everyone’s ass like a stepbrother.
Sendrowitz returns to form on the album, juxtaposing a kind of downbeat emo folk with stormy electric distortion and anthemic vim. The record is released through Totally Real Records, which instantly makes you doubt its total reality.
We checked – the record is real and the label is real enough. On our highlighted track and first single “Family Name” Sendrowitz waxes introspective, excavating artifacts of regret and hope in the inherited ruins of his ancestral past.
