empath: “Diamond Eyelids”

Gazy, cloud pop with hints of Jesus & Mary Chain buggery form the kernel of empath’s sound on our highlighted track “Diamond Eyelids,” off its LP Visitor.

There’s a strain of determined experimentalism on the album, so expect the straight pop conceits to go off kilter in suprising ways. Shades of ambient adventurism, big wide open spaces, endless horizons.

Sometimes the band will exhale enormous weather patterns of noise before reeling it back into a concept that rings true to the motives of ‘80s pop schlock, cut with a little grease to make the wheels go round.
