Merry Merry: “Narcissus”

Maybe it’s just the title, but do you detect shades of Smiths? The tuneful jangle and a bit of a low end croon, here and there. The snare-led rhythm pulls Merry Merry’s sound into a more contemporary indie pop environment. Our highlighted track “Narcissus” comes off the EP Classics, which includes two more homages to lesser known figures from Greek mythology. Eurydice, sure, why not. But Ganymede? Deep cut!
