The Los Angeles-based producer and DJ Maral has the chops of a club kid and the soul of an Iranian-American on a 21st-century vision quest to connect the two wings of the hyphen into a transcendent banger.

The album Ground Groove brings a kitchen sink-attitude to the creative process. It’s house music that’s taking tips from drone, rock, and world music vibrations. Our highlighted track “Heart Shimmer” is an atmospheric delight.
