Jean Paul Jean Paul: “Secrets”
Is that an accordion? Underused instrument, kudos Jean Paul Jean Paul. The wheezebox gives a little Old World folk flavor to our highlighted track “Secrets,” a bar room brawler of a rock song.
A brawler, albeit, with a gentle and yearning heart. The lyrics spin a lovelorn narrative. The desire may be unquieted, but the double-barreled electric guitar solo is not. Are those two guitars pulling off some Allman Brothers-style synchronized hot licks, or did they double up the track of a single guitar after the fact? You’ll just have to hit a live gig to see how the track plays in person.
