El Blanco Nino: “Echoes In The Stu”
Rap remixed as contemplative ambient New Age. That’s what’s cooking in the title track to the EP Echoes In The Stu by El Blanco Nino. The Bronx-based artist describes his EP as an ambient version of his previous album Return To The Stu. He takes about one or two raw rhyming samples, barely more than a single word, and lays them over a woozy New Age keyboard. Hip hop buddhists on mountain tops take note.
