claire rousay: “Sigh In My Ear” (ft. Helena Deland)
Claire Rousay fuqx with found sounds on their album a softer focus. But it’s been a whirlwind two years since that collection of songs was pressed to vinyl: touring, collabs, panel discussions, oh my. Found sound might figure more in the live shows these days, at least compared with our highlighted track “Sigh In My Ear” (feat. Helena Deland), which features a stronger turn toward the ambient drone aesthetic. Bandcamp liner notes indicate that the track includes Rousay’s collection of “eld” recordings. What the hell are eld recordings? Educate us in the comments!
