Boston’s Christian Pace caught some attention with his four-song EP Skunk, released in 2022. For such a short running time, the EP feels remarkably full and well-rounded. Credit it to the songwriting, which secrets away entire worlds of thoughts and feels in the space of a few minutes. Our highlighted track “Untitled” hits a nice, satisfying trot about halfway through the song. Pace aims for pure pop perfection in a Matthew Sweet vein. Extra points for the skunk doodle that serves as the cover for the album.
