Already Dead: “The Spirit of Massachusetts Avenue”

From the working class punkers Already Dead, who brought you My Collar Is Blue, comes a new single “The Spirit of Massachusetts Avenue.” Which is spelling it out the long way. Who bothers with more syllables than are contained in ‘Mass Ave.’? The song’s trying to deliver a message, though, to more people than Bay State weirdos. A universal message about living in a society that chooses to valorize some and throw others away like they’re garbage. And more often than not it’s the penniless propping up the rich, and being told to be grateful for the opportunity to be bled dry. Fuck these motherfuckers. Already Dead has a video for this one. Guess where it’s filmed? Off the upcoming album Something Like A War.
