Love Profess
A distant offering from Mac Blackout’s glam-punk band Mickey, the solo effort Love Profess takes us into weirder waters of electronic experimentation.
Saxophone, synthesizer, drum machines. Where the conventional instrumentation of rock n roll comes into play – guitar and bass – the style of play is pushed out of its comfort zone. Don’t look for catchy hooks on Love Profess.
Expect long winding soundscapes in our highlighted title track “Love Profess,” which holds back, just barely, from the vertiginous precipice of dronecore. It’s an album for fans of minimalist electronic sound exploration. Only the saxophone gives you a real sense of terra firma. Otherwise, it’s all stratosphere, baby.
