Colyn Cameron: “Fault Lines”
Written By Michael Gutierrez
Vancouver’s Colyn Cameron delivers cool, country soundscapes that never overcrowd the frame. With track titles like “Deepfakes,” he’s not stuck on the same merry-go-round of whiskey and women themes as many country artists. The spare and sometimes spartan instrumentation gives his thoughtful lyricism space to breathe.
Our highlighted track “Fault Lines” salts the winsome weep of a steel guitar into a stew that’s not fancy, but oh so satisfying.
