Bitchin Bajas: “Amorpha”
Chicago’s Bitchin Bajas have been roving the countryside out on tour. (They’ll be in Greenfield, MA at 10 Forward on 12/2).
What are they bringing with them? Long, electronic, minimalist slowburners. The outfit includes three members so, if you see them live, watch how the different layers of syncopated music mix together.
They carve out a clean sound in their sonic terrain on our highlighted track “Amorpha,” due in part to their clean sampling of real world instruments. The track moves through your ear like water flows down a stream: every molecular element is in motion at once, giving a paradoxical illusion of stillness. It’s music that’s ripe for meditation or whatever’s your pleasure.
Stream, share, buy to your heart’s content.
