Black Helicopter’s LIVE at Pipeline! captures the raw energy of Boston scene veterans.

The LP honors the memory of Jeff Breeze and includes Bee Gee’s cover “World”

Late to the party, but HDN needs to signal boost one of the coolest LP extras we’ve seen. Black Helicopter, stalwarts of the Boston alternative rock scene, released the live album LIVE on Pipeline! in 2020, smack dab in the middle of the pandemic quarantine.

Pipeline! is a well-loved regular show on WMBR. The radio station captures the live energy of a Black Helicopter set: hard-charging guitars, relentless percussion, and an instinct for story telling in the punk vernacular. There are some classic Bad Religion vibes here.

But about that cool LP extra. If you buy the right version of the record, they’ll include a punch-out, build-your-own helicopter.

Beautiful art concept and execution by Mary Galli. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to WMBR in honor of the late great Jeff Breeze, former WMBR host and tireless champion of local music.

Stream, share, buy the album, which includes an offbeat cover of the Bee Gees’ “World.”
