warmachine: “holyoke”

A post hardcore grinder that makes some interesting choices. Chief among them, record the vocals on our highlighted track “holyoke” like you were stuck at the bottom of a well. It works for warmachine, though, because the blasted out echo effect turns the vocals into almost a kind of synth layer that builds into the proggy energy gathering like a storm inside the hardcore exoskeleton. By the end of the song, you’re high as a kite, riding a giant sandworm on the way to conquering Arrakis. Off the two-song release project.
