Tysk Tysk Task: “Trazodone”

A drug to treat depression and anxiety or some combination of the two. That’s what Trazodone is used for. Hard to imagine just experiencing one of those symptoms and not the other. They skip down the yellow brick road hand in hand.

Tysk Tysk Task feeds you your daily dose of “Trazodone” with the neu grunge-inflected textures that they’ve been perfecting in recent years. Hard to think of a local artist making more interesting music in that genre space than The Triple Ts.

What you’ll appreciate about the single is the slow tempo, which gives the guitars the time they need to bore a hole into your skull. We live in a contemporary landscape besotted with post emo bands hurling hooks at you with lightning speed. Nice to see an artist with the confidence to slow roll it once in a while.
