Special World: “Elowyn”

‘Elowyn’ is apparently a popular baby name in the fantasy cosplay scene. The name is originally Cornish. It means ‘elm,’ and the ‘-yn’ suffix is the feminine ending of the original root word. All this should help you appreciate Philadelphia’s Special World, and the title track off their latest EP. Maybe there’s a little fairy dust sprinkled on this project from the man behind the moniker Andy Moholt. Our highlighted track is a slow tempo, bedroom pop strangler, recalling a more sanitized and digitized Sentridoh.
