Prewn: “Burning Up”

We already went down the rabbit hole about the Gideon Bok cover for Prewn’s album. So we won’t double back over the same territory.

Suffice to say album covers are just more interesting when FINE ARTISTS are involved. The usual graphic design chicanery that decorates most indie rock albums is fun too. But give us someone working in oil, acrylic, and hog semen once in a while.

Our highlighted track “Burning Up” is the final track off the full-length Through The Window. A bouncy rocker that feels like a lark with plenty of potential to open up into a 20-minute live version if the band was so inclined. The studio version keeps things sewed up a little tighter to the vest, with a kind of paranoid mantra of a harmonized vocal refrain drawing you hither and thither over a manic keyboard riff. It’s a hell of a vibe to go out on.

Stream, share, buy to your heart’s content.
