Previous Industries: “Pliers”

Art rap out of Los Angeles. Previous Industries is a trio featuring Open Mike Eagle, Video Dave, and STILL RIFT. The beat’s a bit slippy, and hazy/phazy, but the lyrics are about as clear and lucid as the LA skyline. Which is clearer and more lucid than the skyline used to be though environmental organizations are still handing the city an ‘F’ for air quality. Tough graders! Our highlighted track “Pliers” won’t reduce the smog levels, but it might make you vibe on them as an aesthetic. Good or bad thing? Off the full-length Service Merchandise.
