Orange Peel Mystic: “Horses on the Highway”
Talk about prolific. Orange Peel Mystic dropped two albums in 2024, ROAD WORK and Horses On The Highway. Our highlighted track is the title track off the latter. It’s classic OPM, with dense hailstorms of electromagnetic pulsetrons sweeping over the listener while the pop chanteuse serenades above the fray. It’s a lofi Berlin dance hall blitz. Listen via equipment with a meaty low end, otherwise the oscillations sound too thin. Juice up, amp up, meat up — all of it.
