Mute Duo? At least until the 1:30 mark on our highlighted track “Night Guides.” Then the guitars kick in for a kind of heavy rock, krautrocking highway banshee wail of a musical number. This band could’ve open up for Sonic Youth on midwestern tour dates. A great appreciation for the dramatic purpose and epic possibilities belonging to the distorted universe of electric guitar.
