Main Era: “Clandestine Sadness”

Boston’s Main Era is a newish band without a deep catalog, but damn there are some bangers in that short library. Our highlighted track “Clandestine Sadness” leads off the five-track EP Dreamers. And it’s easy to hear why. The driving pop sensibility delivers a Strokes-type jitter that makes you want to dance like one of the black silhouettes in those old Apple iPod commercials (which they brought back, maybe?). Extra points for strong use of stuffed olives on the Dreamers album cover.
