The neu soft rock goddess rides again. The Oakland-based artist Madeline Kenney is a straight ahead pop artist, cranking out music that already feels like a VH1 classic. In a knowing way? Sure. There’s a sneaky ASMR element in her ethereal vocals. Some might call it dream pop, screwing in the same light bulb as Julie Cruise or Annie Hart.
