Mac Blackout: “Sunspots”

Fluttery, open-ended, hints of Lake Michigan. Mac Blackout has all the music projects he’s been involved with listed at the right of his Bandcamp page like a curriculum vitae. I guess it is a kind of CV. And what a story it tells. Punk points of origin, which became increasingly conceptual and self-aware, until it was time to jump ship fully into the experimental and avant garde sound space. You’ll apprishiate the slow build on our highlighted jam “Sunspots,” which withholds the percussive payoff until about halfway through the song, before crumbling into a little wad of steno paper in the corner of a forgotten bedroom. Off Revelation on the Beach. Via co-release by Torn Light and Fire Love Records.
