Lane: “Vision II”

“Vision II” off Theremin
Lane
Prickly, spindly, hi-speed guitar attacks define “Vision II” off Lane’s Theremin. The Boston band has a penchant for clean, New Wave guitar melodies that have been taken apart and rebuilt into pert, jazzy, kraut-inflected soundscapes. The thrust is pop, though you’re never quite sure which hook to hang your hat on. Maybe there are no hooks at all – just one manic sprint to the finish and a thousand starter pistols.
