Keegan Powell: “So Easy”
A dreamy acoustic strummer about falling in love. It’s Toronto’s Keegan Powell. Easy come, easy go. The melancholy undertone overtakes the song as the protagonist realizes that love is fleeting. You know, like when you fell in love at summer camp, or a standardized test preparation course, or whatever the hell short lived thing you do to pass the time, and you knew at the end of it everyone was headed their separate ways. Powell accepts the end of things almost too easily. What about maintaining an unhealthy parasocial relationship via the internet for years to come? Shades of Goo Goo Dolls.
