Gimmick: “Scrunch”

RIP Turtle Swamp Brewery. It was a righteous brewmaker with locations in Roslindale and Jamaica Plain. Maybe the pandemic delivered a body blow at just the wrong time when the business needed to grow, grow, grow to stay alive. But while it lived, it flourished, and it occasionally hosted music nights. On one particular evening a local band called Gimmick recorded a live session. It’s a jammy, funky, improvisational delight with tracks that stretch into the double digits. Here’s a shorter take to whet your whistle.
