Editrix: “Horse Girls”

Is this whole album a play on Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday? Collider ranked all of the Jason films, placed Jason Goes To Hell in 7th place, and described it as an” interesting experiment in genre but a totally unsatisfying watch.” Ouch!

Editrix’s album is a bit more of a reliable enjoyment. Experimental? Sure, but you won’t be confused by genre adventurism. The trio of guitar, bass, and drums puts together high tempo, high energy artrock that steals snippets from thrashcore or metal to ignite its sound rather than befuddle.

Are there “memorable deaths”? No – but a few songs, like our highlighted track “Horse Girls”, will leave a mark.
