“I bought a house in the country.” You bought a house in the country? In this economy? Honestly I can’t relate, but someone must be buying all the houses because the prices are so high. Or is this a metaphor? You know, in some ways, we’ve ALL bought a proverbial, metaphorical, symbolic house in the country. Except the ‘house’ is more like a McDonald’s Happy Meal and the ‘country’ is more like Worcester or somewhere. Boston’s Bent Knee works in mysterious ways, building up their quiet tagline into a towering mountain of infinite exploding synth rock catharsis. Chew on that, country house, if that is your real name.
