Art Ensemble of Chicago: “Rock Out”
Here’s an archival throwback to 60s rock n soul. Don’t be thrown off by the name Art Ensemble of Chicago. Though band membership was steeped in the rock n roll, jazz, and civil rights stew of America at the time, they didn’t really find their sound and audience until they crossed the Atlantic. Our highlighted track “Rock Out” comes off the Message To Our Folks album, recorded in Paris in 1969. The remastered reissue is available via the London label BYG Records.
