Arden Lloyd: “An Intro”

We don’t usually pick out intros for our highlighted track. They’re often somewhat unmusical palate cleaners intended to draw you into the imagination of the artist. As standalone tracks, they often come up short. Arden Lloyd’s “An Intro”, though, is an introduction you won’t skip tracks on. It gives you something to chew on. More than a passing familiarity with Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata is in play. But let’s sit Tori Amos at the keys instead of that wild-eyed German.
