Boston’s Bowling Shoes is a band you’d take home to meet your mother. Charming and clean cut, this band is what a 90s boy band would sound like if the boys knew how to play instruments. The pop constructions are impeccable, the production pristine, the hooks infectious.

In our highlighted track “See U Again” the young men of Bowling Shoes put on their “sexy voice,” which is, of course, a falsetto delivering lines like “she needs loving bad.” It’s as awkward as it sounds, but it’s an endearing awkwardness reminiscent of that curly headed kid before he brought the SexyBack. Or at least Beck doing “Debra.”
