The lyrical contributions, fed through a zillion chorus effects, form the backbone of the song. Shades of Aphex Twin’s “Milkman” with philthier vox FX. The melody is plucked by electronic cellos and violins. The entire production feels like a funk-classical ovum inseminated by Kraftwerk and midwives by Daft Punk.

Not for everyone, but more accessible than the uninitiated might think. No wonder Daniel Lopatin gets tapped for soundtracks so often – his sounds are powerful, if a little scary, and a spoonful of pretty visuals helps the medicine go down.
