Gazillion (ft. J Dilla)
MF DOOM passed away (RIP) and we’re not ever going to be done remembering him through his music.
In an industry built on self-hyped auteurs and originals, MF DOOM was a true individual. A bizarre mix of elite trendsetting rhymer and cornerstore MC jokester.
He was also a true collaborator. Much as he performed behind a mask, his body of work was frequently draped with the imprint or influence of a fellow artist, whether it was Bishop Nehru, Madlib, or a few guest spots from J Dilla like we’ve got on our highlighted track “Gazillion Ear.” Watch out for the head turning detour at around the two-minute mark.
