Fall Apart
At least once per album Daniel Knox will pen a song that cuts you to the core. An absolutely devastating haunter that will lodge in your soul – never mind your ear – from here to eternity.
It might be a different song for different people, but the mindfucks all gravitate around the piano man weeper tunes. A few keys, a little reverb, a bassy voice that sheds a thousand tears. You could nominate “Fool In The Heart” off Won’t You Take Me With You as the gutpuncher, but we’ll highlight “Fall Apart” for now.
As if to apologize, Knox will also include a few laughers each album to lighten the mood – and he’s got a wicked cabaret sense of humor. But we all know which tunes put the meat in the seats…
