The two-piece Washer goes Whammo, Glammo, Sammo. Why not Blammo? In fact, it’s a meditation on time with a leading metaphor of a creeping snake. A medium-tempo postpunk burner dares to ask the question: what if time is NOT a flat circle? Consider instead the image of a snake eating its own tail, which is what the protagonist of the song seems to do when he eases the anxiety of the present and future by sinking into the comfy armchair of remembrances of things past.
