this body is all i have in this world: “Swimming/Numbers”
Wait, what’s going on here? The Salem-based this body is all i have in this world is releasing a 7-inch. So far, so good. But is there just one six-and-a-half minute track called “Swimming/Numbers”? That’s a normal running time for a 7-inch when split into two songs, one on each side of the record. How does it work when you only have one song? Is it an extra long running time for one-side and then just ungrooved black vinyl on the other side as smooth as a lake’s surface on a windless night? Time will tell. You can stream the track now via Soundcamp or Bandcloud or Spottitradr or whatever the hell people use. It’s an ambitious rock odyssey, a symphony of textures, spun in the heavy art rock vernacular – and could probably be adapted into a one-man play starring Henry Rollins with a minimum of fuss.
