The Macrotones: “Bloody Hands”
Written By Michael Gutierrez
About ten million people in this band, judging from the Bandcamp band pic. The Macrotones are one of those deep, deep funk ensembles with all the horns, drums, keys, bells and whistles. Makes it hard to split the gig proceeds at the end of the night, but it’s an easy listen. Our highlighted track “Bloody Hands” lights up with a soul glow. A brass chorus and layers of backup vocals turn this pretty ditty into a classic 60s and 70s variety show-type extravaganza. You’d like to hear OC Smith sit in for a song or two. Off the full-length From The Void.
