Screaming Urge: “Homework”
The archival work of HoZac Records continues. Somebody get these guys an honorary PhD. It’s a serious research effort, digging up the musical luminaries of the protopunk scene in the 70s and 80s. What have they dug up today? Screaming Urge, a band of gonzo rock n rollers that came out of Columbus, Ohio at some point in 1978. Kind of a Ramones punch, with similar teeny bopper preoccupations on our highlighted track “Homework.” You’ll dig the languid bass line that keeps the train rolling.
