No idea what’s going on with this artist randytaylor69. She releases music about once a year, around Christmas. Guess what? It’s Christmas music. Which Hump Day News is a big fan of a la #xmas4eva. The rest of the year, though, not a peep. Complete radio silence. So that, combined with the twisted horror Yuletide slant to the aesthetic, makes the whole enterprise feel like the ultimate slow-played inside joke. Our highlighted track “jólnir” is completely respectable indie folk. You have to believe this is a side lark for a musician with a main gig. But who knows, it’s a strange world.
