Photay with Carlos Niño: “Pupil”
We’re starting to question whether Carlos Niño is a real human being or just a state of mind. The dude is everywhere, and he’s on our highlighted track “Pupil” too. Is the Photay the teacher or the pupil? Both – we’re all everything, everywhere, all at once. The track hints jazz in the first ten seconds. But soon enough we’re whisked away into an ambient universe led by a quizzical keyboard pattern and a horn fed through the digital meat grinder. Apparently you’re suppose to thoroughly chill meat grinder attachments prior to use to prevent the meat from sticking too much in the machinery. The chilly backrooms of butcher shops are not just about food preservation, see?
Keep it chill, Photay.
