Oruã: “Passe”

See this content in the original post

Straight outta Rio de Janeiro, it’s poor man’s jazz. Or workingman’s krautrock. Who can figure? It’s Oruã at any rate. Our highlighted track is the leadoff “Real Grandeza,” which cooks in a hard rock way with soft spoken vox. Clearly this Brazilian band didn’t get the memo that you’re supposed to sing/shout along with music that wails this hard. And it’s just as well. Extra points for a spacey bridge that foreshadows the impressive range of the rock n roll medium on the rest of the album. Off the full-length Passe.
