Neverless.am: “Will I Ever?”
Once upon a time, Lurid Purple Flowers. LPF has rebranded to Neverless.am. But “rebranded” doesn’t quite capture the transformation.
We’re not talking about Comcast changing their name to Xfinity to try to outpace the bottomless pit of negative reviews about their overpriced product and awful customer service. Remember that Comcast call with Ryan Block that went viral years ago?
We’re not talking about early Spinal Tap changing their name from The Originals to The New Originals (because The Originals was already taken).
We’re not talking about Dinosaur Jr. adding the “Jr.” because some supergroup, which wasn’t even named “Dinosaur” (they were called Dinosaurs, a band that featured ex-members of Country Joe and the Fish, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Hot Tuna, the Grateful Dead, and Jefferson Airplane, who all have high-T, alpha male lawyers), sued them.
What we’re talking about is a band of musicians whose work has grown, evolved, transmogrified over the years, and needs a new moniker to signal to the outside world the sort of artistic rebirth that has taken place within.
Welcome to the world, Neverless.am. Our highlighted track “Will I Ever?” is a heavy duty screamer with some gazey textures and quieter moments. The kind of sound you’d slot right into a bill like Snow Gaze.
