#Xmas4eva, for real. Our highlighted track is “Quiet Christmas” by folky folkerson Naomi Westwater. Shades of Edie Brickell. The cut comes off Volume 5 of A Very Allston Christmas compilation. That’s right, five of them! That’s a pretty good run for a novelty holiday compilation series. Seems like the series died off at the end of 2019, which is too bad, because with the venues closed during the pandemic, it would have been nice to keep cranking out some holiday covers from home. Maybe someone needs to reboot the series?
